Amarak Chemicals Opens 60,000 TPA Automated Sulphur Facility in Jafza, Dubai

Amarak Chemicals FZC has inaugurated a fully automated sulphur manufacturing facility in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), Dubai, with an annual capacity of 60,000 metric tons. This plant aims to strengthen the global supply of sulphur-based agricultural inputs, crucial for soil health and crop productivity. Leveraging Jafza's logistics and India-UAE CEPA benefits, the facility enhances supply chain reliability, reduces costs, and supports sustainable farming practices worldwide, expanding Amarak's reach to over 18 countries.

Amarak Chemicals FZC, an associate of the Aries Group, has commissioned a state-of-the-art, fully automated sulphur manufacturing facility in Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza). This new plant boasts an annual production capacity of 60,000 metric tons of sulphur bentonite and related sulphur products, vital for enhancing soil health, improving crop productivity, and promoting sustainable agriculture globally.The facility incorporates advanced digital process controls, ensuring high production efficiency, precise formulation, enhanced operator safety, and consistent product quality. Its strategic location in Jafza provides Amarak with unparalleled access to integrated logistics and trade infrastructure, significantly reducing transit times and optimizing supply chain efficiency for exports to over 18 countries, including Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.The project received formal inauguration from G. Krishnan, Consul (Economic, Trade and Commerce), Consulate General of India, Dubai, emphasizing growing India-UAE industrial collaboration. Abdulla Al Hashmi of DP World GCC highlighted Jafza's increasing importance in the chemicals and agribusiness sectors, noting the facility's contribution to regional and international food supply chains.The investment aligns with the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), enabling Amarak to manufacture in the UAE and export duty-free to India, alongside serving other global markets efficiently from a single production base. Dr. Rahul Mirchandani, Aries Group Chairman, stated that this move is part of a long-term strategy to build world-class agricultural input manufacturing capabilities, leveraging Indian process expertise and UAE's enabling infrastructure.
