BMW India Foundation and The Golf Foundation Launch India's Largest Golf Talent Hunt for Underprivileged Youth

BMW India Foundation and The Golf Foundation have launched 'Golf for Everyone,' India's largest golf talent hunt for underprivileged youth. This initiative aims to democratize golf by identifying and nurturing talent among children from low-income backgrounds. Starting with in-school screenings and progressing to regional camps, the program will select about 30 promising golfers who will receive professional coaching, equipment, and financial assistance, fostering their personal and athletic growth while promoting inclusivity in sports.

The BMW India Foundation and The Golf Foundation have partnered to launch 'Golf for Everyone,' a groundbreaking nationwide initiative aiming to identify and cultivate golfing talent among underprivileged children. This collaboration seeks to shatter golf's elitist perception, making it accessible to youth regardless of their socio-economic background. Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, highlighted the program's vision to nurture projects that transcend socio-economic boundaries and foster a diverse, community-driven sporting culture.Running as India's largest annual golf talent hunt for 2025-26, the program begins with extensive grassroots discovery. In-school talent identification camps are conducted across government and low-income schools, where children undergo simple athletic evaluations using portable equipment like hitting mats and putting kits. Children can also express interest via WhatsApp. Shortlisted participants advance to regional on-range golf camps held at facilities across multiple Indian states, receiving fundamental golf instruction and further skill assessment.With an expected 1,800 to 2,000 children screened through these multi-stage processes, the initiative will culminate in a National Talent Hunt, selecting approximately 30 exceptional young golfers. These selected athletes will benefit from a comprehensive support framework, including regular professional coaching, access to high-quality equipment, valuable tournament exposure, mentorship, and financial assistance. This holistic development program is designed not only to empower them to pursue golf professionally but also to support their overall personal growth, instilling values like discipline and sportsmanship and inspiring a new generation of Indian achievers on national and global stages.
