During her address, CM Gupta paid tribute to martyrs and underscored the Indian Constitution's role as the nation's soul and a 77-year beacon of justice, equality, and dignity. She elucidated that Delhi commemorates Republic Day a day earlier than the national event to enable her and other state government officials to attend the official national parade on January 26, also citing security challenges in organizing a separate state parade in the national capital concurrently.Reflecting on her government's eleven-month tenure, CM Gupta stated they inherited significant challenges but have since taken decisive steps to steer Delhi in a new direction. She highlighted key welfare initiatives, including the immediate implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which now covers 6.5 lakh beneficiaries with health insurance up to Rs 10 lakh. Looking ahead, Gupta outlined ambitious plans for Delhi's sustainable development, announcing a decision to convert 100% of the city's public transport buses into an emission-free electric fleet within three years, ensuring 11,000 electric buses. The Chief Minister also mentioned doubling Delhi's capital expenditure to Rs 30,000 crore, signifying a commitment to robust infrastructure development and public welfare.
