The International Institute of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (IICSR), under the leadership of Harsha Saxena, successfully concluded two crucial Sustainability Dialogues in Delhi and Mumbai in December. These dialogues were strategically positioned as preparatory engagements for the International Net Zero Summit (INZS) 2026, scheduled to take place in Goa in January.TheThe Delhi dialogue, held on December 19, emphasized the critical need for translating sustainability commitments into tangible operational and governance-level outcomes. Key discussions involved senior leaders and experts addressing challenges in ESG execution, integrating CSR with business strategy, measuring social impact, and the pivotal role of policy frameworks. Participants stressed stronger execution frameworks, clear organizational accountability, and enhanced collaboration among industry, government, and academia to scale sustainability initiatives and build professional capacity for India's climate goals.Following this, the Mumbai dialogue, organized in collaboration with the Bombay Management Association on December 26, focused on governance and talent readiness. This session explored the increasing role of boards in overseeing sustainability performance, the necessity for robust governance structures, and the rapid expansion of ESG-related career pathways. Outcomes highlighted the importance of increasing board literacy on ESG issues, linking sustainability strategy to business risk management, and developing future-ready ESG talent pipelines. Global Net Zero trends and their implications for Indian companies were also key discussion points.Harsha Saxena noted that these dialogues provide practical insights on governance, leadership, and execution, which will significantly shape the conversations at INZS 2026. The findings from both dialogues are set to inform the agenda and knowledge outputs of the summit, aiming to unite policymakers, industry leaders, financial institutions, and academic experts to advance actionable pathways toward achieving Net Zero. The IICSR itself is a global institution dedicated to building capacity in sustainability, ESG, CSR, and Net Zero through education, research, and policy dialogue.
