L&T and NVIDIA Collaborate to Build India’s Biggest AI Factory

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has partnered with NVIDIA to establish India's largest gigawatt-scale AI factory under the India AI Mission. This initiative aims to position India as a global AI services hub by developing sovereign, scalable AI infrastructure. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced a landmark collaboration with US technology giant NVIDIA to construct India's most expansive gigawatt-scale AI factory. This strategic partnership, part of the India AI Mission, is designed to elevate India's standing as a premier global AI services hub and address the nation's burgeoning demand for advanced computing capabilities. The project's core focus is on building sovereign AI infrastructure, ensuring that critical data, AI models, and workloads are developed, trained, and deployed within India, while maintaining interoperability with global ecosystems. This approach guarantees data security and adherence to regulatory compliance for Indian enterprises.The proposed AI factory will leverage NVIDIA’s comprehensive AI infrastructure, including advanced storage platforms, enterprise AI software, and validated reference architectures, to facilitate rapid, secure, and large-scale AI deployment across various industries.
