Maximilian Peter Appointed Head of WACKER's Polymer Division
WACKER has announced that Maximilian Peter will take over as head of its Polymers division, effective May 1, 2026. Dr. Peter, with a chemical engineering doctorate and experience in Corporate Development and HR, succeeds Peter Summo. Summo, who led the Polymers division for ten years, will transition to lead Sales & Distribution. WACKER, the specialty chemicals company, has announced a significant leadership transition within its organization, effective May 1, 2026. Dr. Maximilian Peter, who holds a doctorate in chemical engineering and has been with WACKER since 2012, will assume the role of head of the company's Polymers division. Peter's career at WACKER includes prior responsibilities in process development, Corporate Development, and most recently, Human Resources, demonstrating a broad range of expertise that WACKER's CEO, Christian Hartel, expects will further drive the division's regional expansion.Maximilian Peter succeeds Peter Summo, who has successfully led the Polymers division for the past ten years. Summo, a business administration graduate with a career beginning at Akzo Nobel before joining WACKER in 1995, will now take charge of Sales & Distribution.
