Other states, such as Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and now newly added Haryana, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, and Arunachal Pradesh, also feature in the list, with specific alerts issued for institutions like Global Human Peace University in Bengaluru and Magic and Art University in Faridabad.The UGC explicitly advises students and parents to exercise extreme caution, as degrees awarded by these non-recognised institutions hold no validity for employment, higher education, or government services. Education experts explain that these fake universities often lure students with promises of quick degrees, low fees, or flexible courses, frequently lacking proper infrastructure, faculty, or academic standards. Some even masquerade as foreign universities or claim international affiliations, making detection challenging.
